So apparently i had to do a double take to this Spliff Star record “Lives On The Line” because i was vibin to it until someone here in the office told me “You vibin to the beat, he isnt saying shit” (Pepper is a fool). So here i am trying to give the record a chance and guess what… the muthaluva really isn’t saying shit lmao… i understand the concept of the song and it sounds great and all BUT your just naming obvious things that everyone see’s in their daily lives, you think i dont see all of that when i step out my door every morning?. Now i personally dont know why Busta never really pushed Spliff like he did Rampage and other flip mode artist and i dont want to know to be honest cause i could care less about that camp. The reason I wonder is because obviously Spliff has been loyal till this day and its not like he sounds terrible. Personally i think the beat is nasty… something out of a 90’s movie which is a good thing lol.. Spliff vocals sound grimey and well placed, sure he isnt saying much but i still like it… what do ya think?
